THIS IS A CONTRACT
(Form 1099)
POSITION
As a contractor, you must provide proof of liability Insurance. The position rotates between hotels in a given market for one week at a time to fix maintenance issues.
Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Tech (MT) is to perform the work needed to maintain/repair equipment as well as maintain hotel fixtures. Duties may involve carpentry; plumbing, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, and repairing kitchen appliances, and PTACs, and repairing interior and exterior walls, siding, roof, landscape, concrete, and interior carpet, floors, or stairs. Depending on business needs, MT may be asked to prep rooms and assist with cleaning duties as well. Ideally, this person is personally committed to ensuring all known issues are repaired at the end of each shift of work. Skills /
Qualifications:
Maintenance:
2 years (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred) Responsible for providing their tools. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electronic repair with the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Must have a clean driving record Ability to provide acceptable identification at the TSA Checkpoint such as Real ID or U.S. Passport. Owning a service-type vehicle Preference for those who have completed a formal training program in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.
Physical Requirements:
100 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift and carry up to 50 lbs; team lift may be required Need to be on call for after-hours and weekend service calls; occasional overtime required. Must be able to use ladders frequently as well as going up and down stairs, bending, squatting, lifting, pulling/pushing. Must move furniture as needed, must be able to use cleaning and painting products and electric hand tools.
