Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and executing repairs with precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Repair or replace faulty components including motors, belts, wiring, pumps, and valves with precision. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated systems effectively. Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed to support facility upkeep. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance records to ensure accurate repairs. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track inventory, and schedule maintenance activities. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Provide leadership in team settings by supervising junior technicians or coordinating with contractors when necessary. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background. Electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and using tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems. Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for facility improvements. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance. Supervising experience is preferred to lead small teams or coordinate projects effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
