LAZERCAT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Located in the mountains outside of Idaho Springs, Lazercat is a cannabis company dedicated to producing the highest-quality product while having fun doing it. We specialize in high-quality solventless concentrates, vape cartridges, and edibles. We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician who is a dedicated, reliable and positive person with a passion for the industry. This is a challenging position with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the functioning and sustainment of the Lazercat facility as we all dig in to support the Lazercat brand. We love working in the mountains and think you will too.JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Technician's tasks will primarily be maintenance projects, equipment and systems servicing, as well as a myriad of maintenance activities that keep our facility running smoothly. When caught up on maintenance, this position would work to support other departments, most likely with our Grow and/or Packaging teams. The Maintenance Technician will ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and efficiently and in accordance with Lazercat standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will be well capable of independent work, show initiative, solve complex problems, be organized, and an excellent communicator. Multitasking ability is essential, as is the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventative maintenance: Execute the preventative maintenance schedule on time and accurately (oil changes, filter changes, machine upkeep, etc.). Keep accurate records of completed maintenance.Corrective maintenance:
Repair machines, equipment, systems as needed. Prioritizing mission critical items to minimize downtime.General handyman projects:
Minor repair and installation of plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC and electrical systems. Identification of repair and/or installation projects that will require outsourcing to professional contractors. Work with multiple vendors and contractors as needed to complete projects. Property upkeep including plowing snow, ice removal, driveway repair, dumpster swaps, etc. Perform and/or coordinate vehicle maintenance (tires, oil changes, snow plow upkeep, etc.) Refine and maintain a schedule for periodic maintenance items. Provide advice to the Director of Operations / Owners on facility maintenance issues. Seek guidance as needed. Analyze equipment and systems. Make improvement recommendations. Prioritize projects in order of importance, and seek guidance from the Director of Operations / Owners. Communicate project and safety updates to the Director of Operations and department managers. Maintain inventory of maintenance related equipment, tools, and supplies. Submit purchase requests for maintenance supplies (air/water filters, irrigation, electrical, etc.) Coordinate material deliveries and pick up requests with suppliers and Lazercat delivery team. Assist with unloading/organizing pallets and deliveries as needed. General facility cleaning (we all pitch in) Support the Lazercat team by undertaking other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Background in general handyman work and experience maintaining and/or installing plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC Must be current Colorado resident Current MED badge (not required to apply) Reliable transportation, with winter snow / mountain driving ability a must Cannabis industry experience is a bonus but not-required Experience operating a plow truck is desirable, but not required Basic understanding of computers and programs (Microsoft Office, Google Drive, etc.) Fast-learner, with motivation to develop and hone skills Strong communication skills Punctual and reliable Positive, can-do attitude Self-motivated, problem-solver Team player Detail-oriented, desire to learn and comply with MED regulations Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly Weekday availability, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends. Starting pay $24-29 per hour depending upon experience, with scheduled performance reviews and the opportunity to progress.
