We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support building operations through preventive maintenance, system repairs, and continuous improvement of facility performance. About the Role As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium‑sized buildings, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and other critical systems operate safely and efficiently. You'll play a key role in supporting daily facility operations by performing inspections, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs. This role is part of CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services function, where you'll gain valuable exposure to building systems and develop your career in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective action Diagnose system problems and complete timely, effective repairs Assist with the installation, modification, and optimization of building equipment and systems Review and complete assigned work orders using maintenance tracking systems Support energy efficiency initiatives by ensuring systems are operating at peak performance Inspect installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards Follow established procedures to resolve straightforward technical issues Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work Contribute to a team environment while completing assigned tasks with attention to detail What You'll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school certification (A combination of education and experience will also be considered) 1-2 years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including: Standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders/stairs Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs or more Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or building systems Ability to follow established procedures and work routines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear and effective communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow Why Join CBRE?
