Clarificion from the agency Open to members of the Colorado Army Nional Guard and those eligible to transfer or re-enlist into the COARNG. •May be eligible for a 5% recruitment or relocion incentive with biweekly payments. Subject to availability of funds and must be approved by TAG. Duties Help The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment. Troubleshoots, performs maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, comb, tactical and automotive vehicles. Troubleshoots equipment and diagnoses the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, and computer diagnostic tools. Removes and disassembles engines and major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems. Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions in remote locions th can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as injectors, leaking wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, fuel tanks, brake cylinders and worn brake shoes, voltage regulors, generors, injector pumps, and fuel pumps. Conducts readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associed equipment supported by the activity. May maintain and repair electronics communicion equipment by removing and replacing components and elements. Assists in the maintenance of production reports and records, and makes recommendions to the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment May be required to successfully complete a probionary period. For positions requiring the operion for motor vehicle, candides must have a valid ste driver's license for the ste in which they live or are principally employed. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Membership in the Colorado Army Nional Guard or eligible to transfer into the COARNG. Must hold the grade of E-1 thru E-7. Relocion Incentive is available for only current federal employees. Will need a current appraisal in good standing. Qualificions Military Grades :
E-1 thru E-7 1. Specialized experience used to determine qualificions for the announced position. 2. Experience working with mechanical makeup, operion, and working relionships of complex systems, assemblies, and parts for a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. 2. Experience diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. 3. Experience working with electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumic, and other non-mechanical systems th have a functional relionship and effect on the operion of mechanical systems. 4. Experience working with hydraulic lifting, loading, turning, and positioning systems and their mechanical, hydraulic, pneumic, electrical, and electronic controls. 5. Experience working with electronics, sufficient to identify and replace defective components, such as sensors, diodes, and circuit boards. 6. Experience repairing or overhauling major components such as diesel, multi-fuel or gasoline engines, turbine engines, automic and manual transmissions, drive line assemblies, electrical and electronic systems and accessories, fuel injection systems, and emission control systems.
