As part of our continued growth, Fresca Foods is launching a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility featuring high-speed production lines and advanced automation. With production slated to begin in October, we are actively building our team now—bringing in key talent early to support equipment installation, process development, and operational readiness. This is a permanent role, designed to grow with the facility and play a critical part in its ongoing success. Position Overview Facilities Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of the facilities. This position ensures work is performed in a timely manner and triages request to prioritize the most critical repairs. Additionally, this role inspects and performs preventative maintenance or as needed repairs on facilities or systems which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, or power management systems; schedules maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions whenever possible. This is a fully onsite role , and will be part of a team that is deeply committed to the mission and the joy of making great food. Essential Functions Hands-on general building and facilities in a commercial maintenance environment Major/minor drywall repairs & painting, including preparation to completion Perform minor plumbing maintenance/repairs, unclog drains, repair leaks, sweating pipes, and replace fixtures Grid ceiling repairs and upkeep HVAC preventative maintenance and minor HVAC troubleshooting and repair Troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving Escorting contractors working on site Carpentry repairs including drywall, painting, plumbing Refrigeration repairs and troubleshooting Manage wastewater impact across all facilities Responsible for maintaining a safe food work environment and in the event it is perceived that it is compromised, action is to be taken which includes stopping the process and notifying the supervisor, assistant supervisor, or lead on duty Other duties as assigned Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Education Minimum 5 years' experience in advanced facility repairs in a manufacturing environment Performs tasks in a professional and timely manner Track record in problem solving skills Possesses basic electrical skills - able to use and read a digital multimeter to check for power, safely Demonstrates mechanical aptitude, able to use hand tools and portable power tools (ex. drills, anchor guns, saws-all, porta bands, grinders) Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision Versed in industrial safety PPE - Gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection Has experience in food industry experience (manufacturing food production— not cooking/food prep) Strong awareness of safety and OSHA knowledge High School degree or equivalent is required Intermediate computer skills Strong written and verbal communicator Ability to read, writes, speaks and understands English fluently Basic experience in power industrial truck experience including electric pallet Jacks, walkie stackers, scissors lifts and any forklift experience Working knowledge of Food Manufacturing or GMP's Fully trained in Lock Out Tagout principals Experience in working with computerized maintenance systems Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time - 10-12 hours per day Able to reach overhead, bend, stoop, and squat Able to work in tight places, in restricted positions, or on a ladder safely Able to operate portable power tools: drills, anchor guns, saws-all, porta bands, grinders. Able to work at a fast pace to maintain a steady and even workflow Good manual dexterity (including fine manipulation) and capable of performing repeated actions with hands/fingers Able to work in hot or cool conditions for duration of the shift Comfortable with a moderate noise level Not allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, gluten, or dairy Able to work with or near machinery that produces a magnetic field, such as metal detectors/inductors Able to abide by food safety and human safety guidelines Mental Requirements Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Able to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy, able to work effectively and efficiently in high stress situations Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions while maintaining attention to detail Able to understand, remember and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform in situations requiring speed and/or deadlines Able to use computers, i-Pads, and smart phones. Although actual pay may vary and may be above or below this range, generally speaking, offers will typically be made in the bottom half of the listed range. The amount offered will take into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment.
