Facilities Technician

Facilities Technician Job Description We are seeking a versatile Facilities Technician to assist with various tasks around our facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The primary project involves dismantling cubicles and partitions in unused office areas to create an open floor plan, facilitating engineers' collaboration around large tables with blueprints and schematics. This role requires proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers to disassemble and move materials. Responsibilities Dismantle cubicles and partitions to create open spaces. Perform painting, minor drywall, and sheetrock repairs. Clean bathrooms and common areas. Sweep floors and pick up trash in the parking lot. Rearrange office furniture and replace light bulbs. Assist with snaking drains or toilets as needed. Contribute to other facility maintenance tasks and odd projects to maintain a 40-hour workweek. Essential Skills Experience with housekeeping, cleaning, and facilities maintenance. Proficiency in repair work, painting, drywall, and sheetrock tasks. Experience with hand tools is essential. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any exposure to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is a plus. No licensing is required, but additional skills can expand work opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Enfield, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
