Maintenance Technician Grhusa Properties Hartford, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time $26 - $28 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Plumbing system maintenance and repair Interpersonal skills English Property maintenance Driver's License Attention to detail HVAC system repair Electrical maintenance Plumbing system maintenance Time management Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, seasoned Maintenance Technician with proven experience in residential property management and a strong background in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of building systems. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, appliance repair, lock and door hardware, flooring, and general building maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where safety, quality, and customer service are paramount. Responsibilities Complete apartment turnovers in accordance with company policies and quality standards. Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and after-hours emergency calls. Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, patching, sanding, and painting. Troubleshoot and repair issues within apartment units and common areas to ensure properties remain safe and well-maintained. Conduct routine upkeep of interior and exterior common areas. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and communicate effectively with residents and management. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential property management Prior supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance teams is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, drywall repair, painting, and basic carpentry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality workmanship and accuracy. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work independently while also effectively leading, mentoring, and collaborating with a maintenance team when required. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, accountable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service. Minimum Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Possession of the tools necessary to complete routine maintenance repairs and work orders.
Pay:
