Maintenance Mechanic Ultimate Staffing Services - 3.8 Milford, CT Job Details $25 - $35 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role supports safe and efficient operations by performing preventive maintenance and responding to equipment issues promptly. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and complete repairs Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and ensure safe operation Respond quickly to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance Install, align, and test new equipment or components Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred 2-5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or industrial mechanics Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and tools Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
