Maintenance Mechanic

Overview This position serves as the maintenance mechanic for the company. The mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of the company's plant and equipment and keeping both in good working order. In addition, the mechanic is responsible for supervising any work performed by outside contractors. Duties Installing, maintaining, trouble shooting, and repairing industrial food equipment, including production equipment, motors, conveyors, presses, tanks and VFD drives Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment Performing machine setup changeovers for SKU changes Monitoring equipment during production to ensure the line is operating efficiently and safely Adjusting and repairing equipment during production runs to keep the line operational should unforeseen breakdowns occur Training machine operators in the safe operation of equipment Ordering and storing critical spare parts Maintaining maintenance records •General building maintenance Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and air conditioning. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex systems effectively. Proven service technician experience with a focus on maintenance and repair tasks in industrial or commercial settings. Knowledge of HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration principles. Construction experience is a plus for understanding building systems and implementing upgrades or repairs. Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance projects. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
