We provide rewarding and purposeful work. Why This Role Matters The Floor Equipment Operator plays a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary commercial environments. By operating advanced floor maintenance equipment and ensuring high cleaning standards, this position directly supports a healthy, professional, and welcoming workplace for all building occupants. What You Will Do Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently to maintain all floor surfaces, including carpet, tile, and hard flooring.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, buffing, and burnishing.
Execute floor maintenance procedures including stripping, waxing, refinishing, and polishing using mechanical equipment.
Maintain and care for all assigned equipment; report mechanical issues promptly to a supervisor.
Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and elevator areas.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills; polish metal fixtures and fittings.
Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and replenish restroom supplies.
Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
Assist with janitorial duties as needed and fill in for other custodial roles when required.
May train other staff on proper use, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of floor equipment.
Follow all safety procedures, company SOPs, and organizational policies at all times.
Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, strong work ethic, and positive team behavior.
