at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description In this position the incumbent will serve as the Physical Plant Mechanic III, assist with on-going incidental/preventative maintenance and repairs during their routine duties, delivering supplies to all DMVs statewide, inspecting facilities regarding their condition, report any issues, and provide support to the Division for daily operation. Utilize computerized systems to place supply orders, work with vendors regarding repairs/quotes, maintain the warehouse, and other duties as assigned within their work scope. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Physical Plant Maintenance/Trades Mechanic III Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Six months experience in operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, hand and power tools used in trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting or HVAC. Six months experience in performing work in a variety of trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting or HVAC. Six months experience in record keeping. Knowledge of interpreting blueprints, schematics or technical drawings. Knowledge of estimating cost, time and materials for projects.
