Part Time Handyman / Smart Film Installation Assistant (Freelance / 1099) We are hiring a reliable and skilled Part Time Handyman to assist with smart film installation projects and general construction-related tasks. This is a flexible freelance/1099 position with project-based work and opportunities for ongoing assignments. Pay is based on experience and skill level. Responsibilities Assist with low voltage wiring and routing for smart film systems Install and conceal wiring cleanly through walls, ceilings, and trim areas Cut, patch, and repair drywall as needed for wire access and installation work Paint and perform touch up work after drywall repairs or installation modifications Match existing wall textures and maintain a clean finished appearance whenever possible Install and replace outlets, switches, wall plates, and basic electrical components Assist with transformer and media box installation Perform clean caulking and sealing around film edges, trim, and glass Solder wiring connections and assist with electrical terminations Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Help with mounting components and basic carpentry work Perform cleanup and maintain a professional job site appearance Assist with installations in offices, homes, storefronts, conference rooms, and specialty glass projects Coordinate with lead installer and follow project instructions Deliver clean workmanship with strong attention to detail Requirements Experience with handyman work, construction, electrical assistance, painting, and installation work Basic understanding of low voltage wiring and electrical safety Drywall cutting, patching, repair, and painting experience required Experience installing outlets and switches required Soldering skills required Experience with caulking and finish work required Comfortable using drills, oscillating tools, ladders, and hand tools Able to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation required Punctual, professional, and able to work independently Bonus Skills Experience with smart film, LED film, window film, AV wiring, or glass work Knowledge of fishing wires through walls Basic trim work or carpentry experience Electrical helper or apprentice background Texture matching experience Clean finish and detail oriented mindset Job Type Part Time Freelance / 1099 Flexible scheduling based on project availability Project locations throughout
