Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a reputable organization that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence in service delivery. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components. Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to assess electrical circuits and components for safety and functionality. Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels. Supervise or assist with maintenance projects ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities that minimize disruption to daily operations. Skills Extensive knowledge of facilities maintenance practices across commercial or healthcare environments. Proficiency in electrical work, including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Ability to read technical schematics and technical manuals effectively. Strong supervisory skills with experience leading or supervising maintenance teams. Excellent customer service skills to address internal client needs promptly and professionally. Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Basic residential painting skills for minor aesthetic repairs around the facility. Fluency in English for effective communication within the team and across departments.
