Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the facility's structural integrity and appearance. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed during all repair activities. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to address equipment downtime swiftly, minimizing disruptions to restaurant operations. Requirements Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a focus on restaurant or commercial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics. Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general carpentry tasks. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and vendors. Supervising experience is preferred to oversee maintenance teams or projects efficiently. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is advantageous. Demonstrated customer service orientation with the ability to handle urgent repair requests professionally.
