Center Hill, Florida Position Summary The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting production by minimizing downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment according to established schedules. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Install, align, and test new equipment and systems as directed. Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and other industrial equipment. Operate within the company's CMMS (MaintainX) to log work orders, track parts usage, and document completed repairs. Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and schedules. Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and request replacements as needed. Work closely with operations, sanitation, and other departments to support production goals. Follow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and GMP requirements. Participate in maintenance projects, shutdowns, and emergency repairs as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area.Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing facility. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of safety practices, including OSHA requirements and LOTO procedures.Preferred:
Experience in meat processing or food manufacturing environments. Basic PLC and VFD troubleshooting skills. Welding and fabrication experience. HVAC, refrigeration, or boiler knowledge a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Work in hot, cold, wet, and humid environments. Work Schedule Full-time; shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on production needs. Overtime as required. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
