This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows Jandy, Hayward, and Pentair equipment inside and out, takes pride in clean workmanship, and can hold a professional conversation with a homeowner just as comfortably as they can rebuild an equipment pad Schedule & Position Details Full-time, year-round position based out of Broward / Palm Beach County. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (9-hour day including one hour for lunch/breaks). Company vehicle provided — you'll drive a repair route independently each day. Reports directly to the owner; oversees two service technicians. What You'll Be DoingEquipment Installation & Repair Inspect, diagnose, and repair pool equipment — pumps, motors, filters, heaters, salt systems, plumbing, lighting, and valves. Install and program automation systems (Jandy AquaLink, Hayward OmniLogic, Pentair IntelliCenter, etc.). Replace and upgrade equipment to manufacturer specifications and Florida code. Identify root causes — not just symptoms — and make clear recommendations to the customer. Oversight & Project Management Oversee pool remodels and larger equipment-pad rebuilds from start to finish. Walk every job before work begins, confirm scope and parts, and inspect completed work before leaving the property. Complete detailed service reports documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance. Client Communication Professionally interact with homeowners and property managers — set clear expectations on timing, scope, and cost. Communicate clearly with the office and clients about repair needs and recommendations. Maintain long-term customer relationships — be the technician they ask for by name. Write up estimates for additional work discovered in the field. Scheduling & Team Leadership Plan and route the daily schedule for two service technicians. Train, coach, and support junior techs on Jandy, Hayward, and Pentair equipment. Step in to take over jobs when a tech runs into something beyond their level. Work well with others in a team environment — lead by example, not by ego. Everything Else Maintain the company vehicle (cleanliness, basic checks, getting it to the shop when service is needed). Track on-truck inventory and request reorders before parts run out. Stay current on new equipment models, code changes, and manufacturer best practices. Requirements — You Should Have At least 25 years of age (required to drive the company vehicle). Minimum 3 years of pool repair experience, with strong working knowledge of Jandy, Hayward, and Pentair equipment. Minimum 5 years of employed outdoor work experience, with the expectation to work outdoors in South Florida heat and rain. Valid Florida driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record (no accidents, DUIs, or major moving violations). Driving record will be checked prior to interview. Strong interpersonal skills and confidence — you can talk to anyone from a first-time pool owner to a property manager handling a dozen accounts. Ability to learn quickly through hands-on experience. Positive attitude with a clean-cut, professional appearance (visible tattoos must be covered when on customer property). Able to lift 40-50 lbs occasionally and perform physical labor outdoors all day. Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test. No smoking in the company vehicle or at customer/office locations. Three (3) professional references required. Preferred (Not Required) Manufacturer training or certifications from Jandy, Hayward, or Pentair. CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification. Prior experience leading or mentoring other technicians. Bilingual English / Spanish. Compensation & Benefits Attractive compensation based on experience (discussed during interview). Customer tips — keep what you earn. Company performance bonuses. Company vehicle, fuel, and phone provided. Tools for the truck provided. Paid time off and holidays. Year-round, steady work — South Florida pool season doesn't stop. A clear path to grow into a service manager role as the company expands.
