Job Description

Gleneagles Country Club is looking to hire a reliable and motivated Full Time Property Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of how to maintain and make general repairs at our Club and will have three-years or more of experience in an institutional or business setting. This position consists of general Maintenance of Country Club owned facilities, which include: Class "A" Main Clubhouse housing 3 restaurants and kitchens, golf pro shop, men's and ladies card and locker rooms plus 7 Satellite clubhouses, 2 Security Buildings, Tennis Facility, Community Maintenance Center, and golf course comfort stations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club. Troubleshoot air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems and pool pumps and systems. Supervises the filtration and chlorination of swimming pool, tests swimming pool water; and maintains daily log of water test results for local health department inspections. Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club's PM procedures. Repair tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paver brick. Repairs small electric motors, lamps and fans Attends departmental staff meetings. This position is responsible for on-call emergency call backs and late shifts on a rotating schedule. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent or Property Manager.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience demonstrating skill and knowledge in all aspects of the trade in order to successfully understand and troubleshoot problems and make repairs on: outlets, plugs, switches, light fixtures and lamps, plumbing fixtures, drains, copper and PVC lines, drywall and masonry. General knowledge of power tools. Tile floor maintenance and installation of floor tiles. Door locks and closure repairs and replacement. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Physical Requirement and Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. Frequent repetitive motions. Continuous standing and walking. Must be able to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration desirable. Three or more years of verifiable maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting. Country Club Experience a PLUS ++++!!
