The Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations for a multifamily munity, helping ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. This role plays a key part in supporting resident satisfaction and protecting the physical condition of the munity. You will contribute to a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment while collaborating closely with on-site teams. Key Responsibilities Complete maintenance and repair work in residential units, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to identify and address issues early Respond promptly to service requests and ensure quality, timely resolution Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and maintenance spaces Support inventory tracking and notify leadership when supplies are low Assist with vendor coordination and special maintenance projects as assigned Participate in emergency response efforts and support munity operational needs Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members Our Ideal Candidate for this Role Education High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent level of education and experience. Preferred Certifications EPA certification preferred HVAC certification preferred Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus Experience & Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment or property maintenance Flexibility and availability for on-call duty and emergency repairs. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required for this role for the purpose of on-call emergencies. Must be willing to perform additional duties such as snow removal, and unit touch ups. Skills & Attributes Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong customer service and munication skills Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance and safety Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Why This Role Matters The Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in maintaining the quality, safety, and reliability of Thompson Thrift munities.
