Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift, 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. M-F . You will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations and minimize equipment downtime. Essential Job Functions
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control system issues to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous operations.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
  • Maintain and service facility utility systems including HVAC, compressed air systems, chillers, vacuum systems, electrical distribution, and water systems.
  • Support maintenance and operation of production equipment including material handling, extraction, and refinement systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore equipment to safe operating conditions as quickly as possible.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to document work orders, maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Support installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations, including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and other applicable safety practices.
  • Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance personnel regarding equipment status and repair activities.
  • Maintain maintenance shop, tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Maintain regular attendance and participate in on-call and off-hours maintenance support as required to support continuous plant operations.
  • Work independently to prioritize maintenance activities and resolve equipment issues with minimal supervision. Minimum requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical systems, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, food processing, chemical processing, extraction, or similar environment.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents such as manuals, work instructions, and simple schematics.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management systems preferred.
  • Basic computer skills include data entry and work order documentation.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to work on-call and off-hours maintenance support as required.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Physical demands : Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds. Requires activities with appropriate PPE involving being around moving machinery. Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes and gases.
