Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe. Operate floor care equipment including buffers, polishers, extractors, and vacuums with precision and care. Conduct detailed janitorial tasks such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards. Follow established cleaning protocols to maintain the appearance and safety of all flooring types across the facility. Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. Use environmentally friendly cleaning products and practices to promote sustainability within the workplace. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or needed during overnight shifts. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services with a focus on floor care. Strong knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Ability to perform buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor maintenance procedures effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment throughout the shift. Familiarity with janitorial supplies and environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
