Industrial Maintenance Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Metra Electronics Corporation, founded in 1948, and located in the Daytona Beach area in Central Florida, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment.

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE

Repair, install, and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform mechanic skills including and not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent, or AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred, but not a must. 3+ years of manufacturing experience, good hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC and low voltage circuits experience Experience with injection molding Welding and fabrication experience desirable Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment Ability to handle physical workload Experience repairing forklifts a plus Metra Electronics Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
