General Maintenance Technician - Part-Time The Holiday Inn Express & Suites located at I-295 and Commonwealth Avenue is looking for a General Maintenance Technician. Hours will be 25 - 30 hours per week, 3 - 4 days a week, and rotating weekends. Our Maintenance Team plays a critical role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and associates. A major focus of this role is preventative maintenance of guest rooms , ensuring issues are identified and resolved before they impact the guest experience.

General Maintenance Technician Starting Pay:

$16.00 per hour Experience Rate Considered What You'll Do As a General Maintenance Technician, you will: Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms to ensure all equipment, fixtures, and systems are operating properly Conduct routine room inspections to identify maintenance needs before they become guest issues Perform daily repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and service calls Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and general building issues Maintain pool area, exterior grounds, and public spaces to brand standards Assist with painting, drywall repair, minor carpentry, and equipment upkeep Support life safety systems, fire inspections, and emergency procedures Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams to ensure guest satisfaction Help maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with hotel standards What We're Looking For We are seeking candidates who are: Reliable, self-motivated, and solution-oriented Skilled in general building maintenance and repairs Strong understanding or willingness to learn preventative maintenance practices in hospitality Comfortable working independently and managing priorities Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, and on-call situations when needed Able to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and supplies Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred, but strong general maintenance experience is highly valued If you're ready to bring your maintenance skills and preventative mindset to a team that values quality, reliability, and guest satisfaction, we'd love to hear from you.
