We are currently looking for a maintenance technician who can help assist with maintenance calls for repairs to our rental units and prepare vacant rentals. Position expectations, requirements and responsibilities can include:

• Assists in the solution of maintenance problems
• Responsible for inventory of parts and supplies needed for immediate repairs
• Purchases all maintenance supplies and materials in a cost efficient manner
• Schedules work orders, both within and outside of domiciles
• Coordinate make ready operations with Property Manager to ensure that vacant units are made ready in a timely manner and available when needed.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job
• Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment
• Actively participates in performing work order maintenance repairs and make-ready units

Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Obtains thorough knowledge of power, water and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants
• Assists in all aspects of the property's maintenance, including grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance
• Repairs structural wear and damage to buildings
• Prepares vacant apartments
• Services appliances, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
