$25 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and technical qualifications About Florida Invest Property Management Florida Invest Property Management LLC is an established and growing South Florida property management company managing residential investment properties across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Our main office is located in North Miami Beach, where part of the administrative responsibilities for this role will be based. We are seeking a reliable, skilled, hands-on Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our residential portfolio to high professional standards. This position is ideal for someone autonomous, solution-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks. Position Overview The Handyman / Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing day-to-day repairs, maintenance, inspections, preventive maintenance, and general property support across residential properties located throughout: Miami-Dade County Broward County Palm Beach County Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM , with occasional flexibility appreciated for urgent maintenance situations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling general handyman work independently and ideally possess additional technical skills in plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and HVAC maintenance. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Handyman & Property Maintenance Perform repairs in occupied and vacant residential properties Drywall patching and minor wall repairs Interior touch-up painting Door, lock, hinge, cabinet, and hardware repairs Light fixture replacement Ceiling fan installation and replacement Faucet replacement and minor plumbing repairs Toilet repairs and troubleshooting Garbage disposal replacement Caulking and sealing work Window blind, screen, and weather stripping repairs Minor flooring and tile touch-ups Pressure washing and exterior maintenance Unit turnover / make-ready preparation Preventive maintenance inspections Technical Skills (Strong Plus) Electrical Basic troubleshooting Outlet and switch replacement Breaker troubleshooting Light fixture wiring Plumbing Leak diagnostics Faucet and shut-off valve repairs Toilet repairs Drain troubleshooting HVAC Filter replacement Thermostat replacement Condensate line maintenance Basic AC troubleshooting Property Operations Support Perform property inspections Identify maintenance needs proactively Report larger repairs requiring licensed contractors Coordinate with management when outside vendors are needed Help maintain properties in excellent rentable condition Administrative Responsibilities This role also includes light administrative responsibilities: Prepare manual repair invoices for clients before electronic processing Organize receipts and material purchase documentation Upload supporting documentation into the property management system Track supplies and maintenance materials Maintain clear records of completed work Company Provides Florida Invest Property Management LLC provides: Company work vehicle Company cell phone Company credit card for approved materials and supply purchases Access to company storage for tools, inventory, and materials Dedicated office workspace in North Miami Beach Administrative and management support Stable full-time workload Compensation Structure $25 to $30/hour General handyman profile: General repairs Painting Fixtures Turnovers Basic maintenance $30 to $35/hour Experienced handyman with stronger skills in: Plumbing Electrical troubleshooting Independent diagnostics $35 to $45/hour Advanced maintenance technician with: HVAC knowledge Broader troubleshooting expertise Strong autonomy Ability to reduce dependency on outside vendors Additional compensation may be considered based on: Certifications Proven experience Emergency response flexibility Overall technical scope managed independently Requirements Bilingual English/Spanish required Proven handyman or maintenance experience Property management experience preferred Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record Ability to travel regularly throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties Strong troubleshooting mindset Professional appearance and communication Reliable, punctual, and organized Basic smartphone and computer literacy Ability to document work clearly Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Strong preference for candidates with experience in: HVAC Plumbing Electrical maintenance Appliance troubleshooting Residential property turnovers Why Join Us Stable full-time opportunity Company vehicle, phone, and purchasing support provided Professional office environment Growth opportunities Variety of hands-on work Established South Florida property management company
