Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and repairs are completed promptly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic hospitality setting, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues utilizing electrical experience, schematics, and tools such as ohmmeters. Perform welding, residential painting, and other carpentry tasks to maintain the property's appearance and structural integrity. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage complex building automation systems efficiently. Supervise facilities maintenance activities, including managing contractors or team members with supervising experience to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inspections using CMMS or similar systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance operations while promoting a safe working environment for staff and guests. Assist with manufacturing or large-scale facilities maintenance projects when required to support hotel operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest repair requests promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential environments. Strong electrical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with schematics and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Skilled in welding, residential painting, mechanical repairs, and general carpentry tasks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and building automation systems. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration with team members and vendors. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Pay:
$17.00 - $17.50 per hour
