Handyman / Door installer

Company Overview We are looking for carpentry professionals that hold customer service as the highest priority. We service a large retailer with multiple locations,and are a high volume installation company. We are now hiring in the Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough County area. Specifically the Service territory from Riverview, down to Venice.

Servicing and installing the following:

Exterior Prehung and Slabs Doors Sliding Glass Doors Screen and Security Doors Interior Doors Attic Ladder It's consistent, satisfying and creative work, usually 2-3 jobs a day at different locations and different types of installations. It is piece work , pay is based on the number of jobs completed, so pay average depends on skill and speed. Must be able to work unsupervised with a high attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. State and County License holders will take precedence but not required. Pictures of work and references would be preferred. Must be able to lift heavy loads. Must pass drug tests and a national background check. Truck and tools required. Must be able to work well with other installers on larger jobs. This is a 1099 Position General Liability and Workman's Compensation is required. Responsibilities Perform door installations with precision and care. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics as needed. Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with installations. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during installations. Qualifications Proven maintenance person experience or relevant construction background. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with door hanging techniques and heavy lifting protocols. Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques as needed. Willing to work with others.
