In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and related hardware, ensuring safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help deliver smooth operations for residential and commercial clients, providing reliable solutions that enhance property security and convenience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of tools, materials, and construction techniques in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Install new garage doors, openers, springs, cables, tracks, and hardware according to manufacturer specifications and blueprints Perform repairs on malfunctioning or damaged garage doors and components to restore proper operation Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to modify or customize installations Conduct thorough inspections of existing systems to identify issues requiring maintenance or replacement Read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and installation processes Safely lift heavy materials and equipment during installation or repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols Assist with construction site preparation including framing, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and electrical wiring as needed Qualifications Proven experience with garage door installation and repair processes Strong mechanical knowledge including door hanging, fixture installation, locksmithing, and metal fabrication Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, caulking guns, and other construction tools Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for complex installations Experience with construction site work such as framing, remodeling, carpentry (including trim carpentry), electrical work, and cabinet installation is highly desirable Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work at heights safely Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics related to mechanical systems or electrical wiring is a plus Prior handyman experience or experience working on construction sites enhances your suitability for this role Join our team today if you're passionate about delivering high-quality garage door solutions!
