Job Summary This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World-Class Service. The Maintenance Tech, General Facilities position is a behind the scenes role that is responsible for the day-to-day general maintenance at each of our facilities. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, reaching and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Additionally, this position will work under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, using intermediate skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of facilities, building systems and equipment, vehicles, and grounds within a geographical area/route potentially across multiple sites. Uses several trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling and will enlist assistance as needed. Must be flexible on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Responsible for the preventative maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC roof top and air handing units, boilers, refrigeration equipment such as walk in/reach in coolers and freezers, ice machines and other equipment as needed.
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repairs records in work order system.
Supports an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. This includes plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions.
Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED required
Must successfully complete pre-employment background check screening
State of Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
Team player with complete knowledge of safety in the workplace
Ability to work with job-related tools
Effective written and oral communication
Excellent attendance, time management, and attention to detail
Thorough knowledge of state and local codes
Ability to use a boom lift and able to work at high elevations.
Proven track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. Working conditions
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50lbs
Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
Ability to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technology
Ability to listen and speak on phone, in meetings, and in one-on-one conversations
Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area
Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
Ability to move comfortable throughout the arena with minimal accommodations
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction
Ability to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
Ability to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
