Our resort is looking for an Equipment Mechanic to join our team of talented professionals As a Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring our resort equipment remains in top condition for the team to serve our guests with unreasonable hospitality each and every day. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment. Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics. Source replacement parts and perform repairs. Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools. Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications. Assist in maintaining parts and tools inventory. Read and prepare work orders using maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends. Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Inspect vehicles before and after repairs in order identify faulty components and ensure complete fixing. Comply with health/safety regulations and procedures, ensuring appropriate disposal of environmental wastes such as used vehicle oils. Assist in preparing and updates to the general manager on work activities. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment and motorized equipment experience required Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred Comfortable with computers.
