Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential apartment communities. Your expertise will ensure that residents enjoy a comfortable living environment by promptly addressing maintenance needs and performing routine inspections. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and appliances. Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical work, mechanical systems, and facilities maintenance tasks using schematics and technical manuals. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. Complete residential painting projects and perform general carpentry repairs to uphold property standards. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests and communicating clearly about repair timelines and procedures. Lead or support team members in maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership qualities and supervising experience when applicable. Experience Proven experience in facilities or residential maintenance with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with welding, plumbing, electrical work, and residential painting is highly desirable. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and manufacturing or facilities maintenance practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interaction. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
