Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain pristine surfaces. Conduct carpet cleaning procedures to remove stains, dirt, and debris, ensuring fresh and hygienic carpets throughout the facility. Operate floor care equipment including buffers, polishers, and extractors to achieve a polished and professional appearance. Follow established janitorial protocols to clean restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common areas efficiently and effectively. Maintain environmental standards by using eco-friendly cleaning products and adhering to safety guidelines during all custodial activities. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and continuous facility safety. Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and inspection reports to support operational transparency. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services with a focus on floor care and commercial cleaning environments. Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and general floor maintenance. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and other floor care equipment safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple areas of responsibility. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy equipment or supplies, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
