Maintenance Mechanic

We are driven by the conviction that fertilizer will play a critical role in meeting increased global demand for food in the future. We are adding a Maintenance Mechanic to the team! What will you do? Perform regular, preventive and predictive maintenance and inspections of machinery. Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Assist with inspecting, maintaining and repairing anything in the facility from basic equipment to complex machinery. Show off your skills with a torch by cutting effectively. Follow all safety rules and plant procedures. Participate in shift meetings. Use various hand and power tools. What will it take? Strong mechanical and fabrication skills. A solid understanding of how machines and equipment operate. An ability to read and understand layout plans, blueprints, schematics and technical manuals. Basic electrical skills and knowledge of hydraulic principles. The ability to lift heavy objects, walk long distances, climb stairs, bend and squat, perform overhead work and work in tight spaces if needed (sometimes for long periods of time). Willingness to work on ladders, scaffolding and motorized lifts. The flexibility to work overtime or be on call nights and weekends when needed. A safety-first mindset! What's in it for you?
