We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and facility operations at our Buford, GA location. By maintaining equipment and facility systems, you help minimize downtime, support productivity, and ensure we can meet customer expectations every day. What You'll Do Equipment Maintenance & Repair Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including wire cutting machines and material handling equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Complete repairs and replace faulty components quickly Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs Facility Maintenance Inspect and maintain building systems (dock doors, HVAC, racking, gates, etc.) Perform general repairs including basic carpentry, painting, and upkeep Preventive Maintenance Execute scheduled maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life Complete inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and cleanings Maintain accurate maintenance records in facility systems Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies Safety & Compliance Ensure equipment and facility systems meet safety standards Conduct routine safety inspections and address hazards Follow all safety requirements (including LOTO and PPE) Provide basic safety or equipment guidance to team members as needed What Success Looks Like High equipment uptime with minimal disruption to operations Preventive maintenance completed on schedule and documented accurately Fast, effective troubleshooting and repair of issues Safe, compliant work environment with proactive hazard identification Work Environment & Schedule On-site role in our Buford, GA distribution center Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for off-hours or emergency repairs Warehouse/production environment requiring standing, walking, lifting, and use of tools Work around equipment such as forklifts, dock systems, and cutting machines Occasional travel to support other facilities Work Experience What You'll Need Experience maintaining and repairing industrial or warehouse equipment Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical documentation Familiarity with maintenance tracking or facility management systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience using tools and diagnostic equipment Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Understanding of safety practices and procedures High school diploma (technical training preferred) Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent repairs Willingness to travel occasionally Why OmniCable Stable, growing company with 45+ years of success Strong team-focused culture Competitive pay + overtime opportunities Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO) Benefits Besides earning a competitive wage, OmniCable offers these other great benefits: Competitive Medical / Dental / Vision / Prescription Plans No-cost Life / STD / LTD / AD&D Health Savings & Dependent Care Accounts 401k Retirement Savings Plan with competitive employer match Tuition Reimbursement Scholarship Fund Flexible Workplace
