Maintenance Technician - Apartment Community (Full-Time)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00PM Location:
Canton, Georgia We are seeking a highly skilled, dependable, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to take ownership of maintenance operations at our apartment community. This is a one-person maintenance role, so we are looking for someone who can work independently, stay organized, prioritize effectively, and consistently complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes pride in their work, communicates well, is dependable, and understands the importance of keeping a community running smoothly for residents and management alike. Responsibilities Complete apartment turns/make-readies efficiently and to a high standard Diagnose and complete maintenance repairs independently when possible Handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance work Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Maintain curb appeal and overall property appearance Keep organized records of completed and pending work orders Prioritize daily tasks and manage workload while working off daily checklists Identify issues before they become larger problems Coordinate with management regarding supplies, projects, and resident concerns Able to be a part of an on-call weekend rotation. Compensation applies when there is an emergency call. Qualifications Previous apartment maintenance experience or similar required Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Universal HVAC certification required Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, and painting CPO certified Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day Reliable, accountable, open to feedback, and detail-oriented Strong time management and follow-through Professional attitude with residents and team members Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What We're Looking For This position is best suited for someone who: Takes ownership of their work and community Does not need constant direction or follow-up Can manage priorities and complete tasks consistently Communicates clearly and professionally Has pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-run property Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Holiday pay Insurance compensation If you are dependable, experienced, and looking for a position where your work ethic and skills will be valued, we would love to hear from you.Pay:
