Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Manufacturing Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of rolling stock and material handling equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on transfer systems, carts, conveyors, and other production movement equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock and material handling equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes to prevent repeat breakdowns Repair and replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, rollers, sensors, and related components Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Perform inspections and document maintenance activities accurately Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production downtime Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics Knowledge of industrial safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with manufacturing rolling stock, transfer systems, conveyors Experience with Diesel and Propane forklifts PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Welding and fabrication experience Experience in automotive, steel, heavy industrial, or automated manufacturing environments Experience with CMMS systems
Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour
