Maintenance Technician

Essential Responsibility:

This position is responsible for providing a broad range of maintenance and engineering support to facility operations List of Key Tasks /

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs Maintenance Functions by responding to facility and manufacturing process difficulties; by providing sound engineering solutions and investigating and analyzing process difficulties; by performing preventative maintenance as scheduled; by setting up new equipment; by responding to questions and troubleshooting problems in a timely manner; and by performing other tasks as assigned. Maintains Documentation by recording and organizing technical documents; by recording all maintenance information in a timely manner; and by ensuring the accuracy of all documentation. Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time. Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems. Performs Other Duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, or team leader. Upholds Standards of Quality, Cost, and Safety by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining quality, cost, and safety; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of quality, cost, and safety to the Supervisor or Management; and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary. Contributes to the Team Effort by consistently achieving individual goals in order to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Company goals; by being flexible in work assignments; by covering for other Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested; by being open to feedback from peers, Supervisors, and Management; and by using the feedback to improve performance. Certifications & Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 3 to 5 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High level of mechanical knowledge & machine operation experience

Required Skills and Working Knowledge:

Physical Requirements while performing the duties of this job, the Staff Member is occasionally required to sit. The Staff Member is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to pick-up, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Physical Requirements the Staff Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical Requirements specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required Skills and Working Environment the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy (i.e. working in a factory/plant environment with various equipment, machinery, computers, printers, and telephones). Working Environment while performing the duties of this job, the Staff Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and production equipment. Working Environment the Staff Member may be required to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary.

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English. Ability to write reports and business correspondence English. Ability to effectively respond to questions in English. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of basic math draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Skills Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc,). Computer Skills Ability to use a computer as necessary. Other Skills Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures. Must score 50% of Personal skills of "Electrical" or "Mechanical" and 20% of "Manufacturing Process Knowledge",

Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties; A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field; Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
