Make-Ready Technician Location:
Dalton, GA Position Type:
Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician / Make-Ready Technician to join our apartment community team in Dalton, GA. This position is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new residents, assisting with general maintenance requests, and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the property. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well independently, and takes pride in providing quality work and excellent customer service. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMake-Ready Responsibilities Prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins within company deadlines Complete painting, cleaning, touch-up work, and minor repairs Replace or repair fixtures, blinds, hardware, and appliances as needed Ensure apartments are market-ready and meet company standards Perform final inspections prior to resident move-in Maintenance Responsibilities Respond to routine maintenance service requests in a timely manner Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas to company standards Help with preventative maintenance programs Assist with property inspections and identify maintenance concerns Support emergency maintenance needs when necessary Qualifications Previous apartment maintenance or make-ready experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and appliance repair Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation required HVAC certification preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to stand for extended periods of time Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Employee housing discounts may be available How to Apply Please submit your resume or work history for consideration.
