Job Description

Position Summary Mid-level Maintenance Technician responsible for safely planning and performing all operations necessary to troubleshoot, modify, repair, and maintain complex manufacturing equipment. This role emphasizes hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance practices to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support overall production efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities Safely and independently adjusts, repairs and maintains mechanical systems; completes some basic electrical system repairs. Utilizing support, maintains conveyors, paint systems and chemical processes. Maintains, performs and reports on preventative maintenance on all plant support equipment. Utilizes drawings, schematics and hydraulic diagrams to evaluate, make recommendations and resolve problems. Interprets and applies a variety of technical instructions. Communicate technical issues to others and evaluate responses in a group setting. Conducts equipment installation (air, gas, rigging) under the support and direction of experienced technicians. Maintains 5S compliant work area. Must certify and maintain certifications to use powered industrial vehicles and overhead cranes. Understands and complies with ISO 9001 and
ISO 14001
requirements. Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed. Essential Skills and Experience HS Diploma/ GED plus 2-5 years of maintenance manufacturing experience. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Ability to read drawings, schematics and hydraulic diagrams. Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations for the facility. Certifications must be achieved within 30 days of position start. Preferred Skills and Experience 2 Year degree in Maintenance Technology or similar maintenance related courses. preferred. 2-5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment preferred Basic understanding of electrical systems including relays, motors and switches. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift (up to 12 hours), use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
