Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Westwood Millworks is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain, and assist with development of its wood product manufacturing equipment and facilities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment with a particular focus on minimizing mechanical downtime. This role will include constructing and installing new equipment, regular service and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follow all company safety and quality requirements. Install, repair, and maintain machinery. Execute the company's preventive maintenance schedule. Inspect and assess the functionality of production machinery. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks. Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns. Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts. Determine changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Willing to assist with production teams when needed.

Qualifications:

2-3+ years' experience as an industrial maintenance technician. Welding & fabrication experience required. Electrical experience preferred but not required. Familiar with OSHA safety standards and regulations. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Basic computer and report writing skills. Growth mindset.
