Restaurant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other essential equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and related HVAC/R equipment to maintain proper temperature control. Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing mechanical expertise and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff to minimize downtime and disruptions. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and future reference. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or upgrades to ensure quality work and safety compliance. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to diagnose issues accurately. Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently. Leadership qualities that enable effective team collaboration or supervision during maintenance projects. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces as needed.
