Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automatic Door Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation, safety, and security of automatic doors, contributing to a positive experience for our clients. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic door systems including sliding and swinging using power tools and hand tools Conduct glass installation and fixture setup for door frames and related hardware Perform welding and fabrication tasks to modify or reinforce door components as needed Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and service door mechanisms Use locksmithing skills for lock installation, adjustments, or replacements on automatic doors Carry out metal stud framing, trim carpentry, caulking, and cabinet installation related to door systems Perform electrical work including wiring sensors, control panels, and safety features in compliance with electrical codes Engage in heavy lifting of door units and materials safely on construction sites or client locations Utilize construction site experience to ensure proper installation within building frameworks while adhering to safety standards Conduct regular inspections to identify issues proactively and perform necessary repairs or adjustments Experience Proven experience with glass installation, metal framing, in construction or remodeling environments Hands-on knowledge of power tools, hand tools, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation Strong mechanical knowledge related to door hanging, fixture installation, locksmithing, and electrical wiring Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in carpentry—particularly trim carpentry and frame carpentry—preferred Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing large or bulky components Knowledge of metal stud framing techniques and remodeling projects is advantageous Electrical experience relevant to sensor wiring or control panel setup is a plus Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols is highly valued Join us as an Automatic Door Technician where your skills will make a real impact! Pay:
$25.13 - $35.00 per hour
