Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Technician specializing in painting and general handyman tasks to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment by performing a variety of maintenance duties, including painting, repairs, troubleshooting, and overseeing small projects. Responsibilities Perform residential painting projects with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. Conduct general handyman repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, drywall, and fixture replacements to maintain property standards. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical experience to diagnose and resolve equipment or system malfunctions efficiently. Operate welding equipment when necessary for structural or equipment repairs, maintaining safety standards at all times. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to complete maintenance tasks accurately. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, coordinating with team members or contractors as needed. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventive maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while providing excellent customer service to residents or clients. Lead small teams or supervise other technicians on specific projects, fostering a collaborative work environment focused on efficiency and excellence. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience and familiarity with schematics and troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with painting techniques specific to residential settings along with general handyman skills such as carpentry, plumbing, drywall repair, and fixture installation. Demonstrated welding skills for structural or equipment repairs. Supervisory or leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
