Job Description

Maintenance Technician Job Description Reports to: Facilities Manager and General Manager Summary The Facilities Technician supports the maintenance and physical operations of the property. This role ensures all service requests, preventative maintenance tasks, and Turn-related projects are completed with a focus on safety, quality, and resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Daily Maintenance & Repairs Complete work orders promptly, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance Support unit inspections and prepare apartments for move-in and Turn season Respond to maintenance-related resident requests with professionalism and urgency Preventative Maintenance & Inventory Assist with implementing and maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule Ensure common areas, grounds, and amenity spaces are maintained to brand standards Track and submit purchase orders for maintenance supplies and inventory Team & Vendor Coordination Work closely with the Facilities Manager to support vendor selection and oversight Assist in supervising third-party contractors during repairs, projects, and Turn Participate in weekly maintenance meetings and project planning Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA and property safety standards Identify and report potential hazards or property concerns to management Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and equipment serviced
