Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities through hands-on technical expertise and preventive maintenance. Your energetic approach will ensure that all building systems operate smoothly, supporting a productive environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and supervisory skills in a fast-paced manufacturing or commercial setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices. Conduct welding tasks and residential painting as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and document repairs. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety protocols. Lead or support team members in facilities maintenance activities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance issues within the facility. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential property management. Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits and working with schematics. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Supervising experience is preferred to lead maintenance teams effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges. $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
