Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and energetic Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our vibrant apartment community team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the property's facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will help uphold the community's high standards of quality and comfort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your maintenance expertise while contributing to a positive living experience for residents. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and general carpentry to keep the community's facilities in excellent condition Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, schematics, and facilities equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics diagrams Troubleshoot and repair issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components Assist with residential painting projects and minor remodeling tasks to enhance property aesthetics Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance Support safety protocols by inspecting facilities regularly and ensuring compliance with safety standards Collaborate with team members and supervise other maintenance staff when needed to complete projects efficiently Be able to use complex equipment to clean and shampoo carpet. Experience Prior experience in facilities maintenance or residential property management is highly desirable Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques Hands-on experience with welding, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building maintenance Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments involving PLCs and complex machinery is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and team members Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance operations is advantageous Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters, schematics reading, and CMMS software is preferred Join us in creating a well-maintained community where residents feel comfortable and cared for!
