In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents by maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help create a welcoming, safe, and well-functioning environment where seniors can thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a meaningful setting that values proactive maintenance and exceptional service. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment and structural components. Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future inspections. Lead facilities maintenance projects such as painting, carpentry, or small-scale renovations to improve community aesthetics and functionality. Supervise or assist with residential painting projects to maintain the property's appearance standards. Operate testing tools like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and ensure safety compliance across all maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs efficiently while providing excellent customer service to residents and staff. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and understanding of PLCs for automation tasks. Skilled in welding techniques for metal repairs or fabrication projects. Experience with facilities maintenance within residential or senior living environments. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to equipment repair or fabrication is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Leadership experience or supervising skills to coordinate maintenance activities efficiently. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Competence in performing residential painting tasks with attention to detail.
