Day shift, some weekends and holidays as needed About the Job Napili Sunset is a beautiful, West Maui, low-rise, 42-unit oceanfront condo resort located right on Napili Bay in West Maui. With 28 oceanfront units, a swimming pool, lush lawns, and direct beach access, we provide guests with an authentic, relaxed Hawaiian vacation experience. We are seeking a dependable, skilled Maintenance person (also known as Maintenance Engineering) to join our small, hands-on team. This is a full-time, hands-on role responsible for keeping guest units, common areas, pool, and grounds in excellent condition in our stunning beachfront setting. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all 42 guest units (studios, 1- and 2-bedroom condos with full kitchens, appliances, lanais, and bathrooms). Complete repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance troubleshooting (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, AC units).

Maintain the swimming pool area:

water chemistry, cleaning, and basic equipment care.

Handle grounds and landscaping tasks:

mowing, trimming, weeding, pressure washing, and addressing salt-air/sand wear on pathways and beachfront areas. Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests to minimize disruption to their stay. Conduct regular property inspections to identify and fix issues proactively. Assist with unit turnovers and minor repairs as needed. Manage tools, supplies, and inventory efficiently. Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and management in a supportive team environment. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance or handyman experience (hotel, resort, condo, or multi-unit residential preferred). Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Pool maintenance experience or CPO certification is a big plus. Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record. Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in sun/wind/rain, and navigate stairs/uneven terrain. Positive attitude with excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling (including some weekends/holidays). High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications are highly valued. Living in West Maui a plus.
