Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components. Your expertise will help optimize facility performance, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is valued. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to manage automated manufacturing equipment effectively. Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments to maintain machinery integrity. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep. Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately to diagnose issues efficiently. Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime through quick response to equipment failures. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and participating in safety training sessions. Requirements Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems. Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is essential. Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform repairs safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair, installation, and preventive maintenance practices. Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding maintenance teams or projects. Customer service mindset to support internal clients across departments effectively.
