Maintenance Mechanic - CLIA

Cresline Plastic Pipe Co., Inc. is an established nationwide manufacturer seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our plant located in Council Bluffs, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as perform regular preventive maintenance on our production equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems Replace defective parts and components as needed Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment issues Collaborate with production team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy equipment Flexibility to work on-call or overtime as needed Strong attention to detail and safety procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to work any 8 hr. shift Must be able to speak, read and communicate in English fluently Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience as a manufacturing maintenance mechanic Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of electrical systems and controls Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Excellent communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations Trade certificates preferred Welding and machine shop experience preferred Previous industrial experience with mechanical and electrical systems preferred All individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to background and drug screening.
